The Ricardo Corporation of Van Buren Township, located at 40000 Ricardo Drive, recently presented a $750 check to the Van Buren Fire-Rescue Department to assist the department's EMS Bike Team outfit six new EMS Bikes with special pannier bags designed to carry an Automated External Defibrillator, Oxygen, and other essential Emergency Medical equipment that can be quickly deployed at large-crowd events where Fire Trucks and Ambulances can't get through.

The Bikes were donated in late 2007 by the Ann Arbor Radio Group, a local amateur radio club, to increase the response capabilities of the EMS Bike Team at special events.
The check was given by the Ricardo Corporation to the Fire-Rescue Department as a special "Thank You" for having provided on-site Fire Extinguisher and Emergency Response Training for their staff.
