It's possible to recover from a soft start against some programs, but Monroe is not a team that should be provided with an early edge.

The Tigers quickly discovered this was the case, but found themselves down 7-0 early in the second half and in too deep of a hole.
"They generally have a strong program," head coach Brent Held said of a Trojan team that finished second in the Mega White last season. 'They had some quick players in the midfield, but we came out soft and got beat to the ball quite a bit. By the time we got things righted in the second half, we were down 7-0."
Belleville finished with only two shots which came in the second half after the girls developed what Held said was a little bit of "attitude and swagger."
"I don't know if the girls got mad and that's why they started beating Monroe to the ball, but we started winning some of those 50-50 balls and had a little fire to us. Hopefully, we can take that fire into our next game instead of spotting them seven goals."
The Tigers next face Carlson 4 p.m. Friday.
