The second league game for the Belleville Tigers baseball team didn't turn out quite they way the first game did. The Tigers took on it on the chin Monday afternoon in a 6-1 loss on the road to Trenton High School.

Belleville Coach David Stamper said he really couldn't figure out what the problem was.
"They threw a lefty at us but we had seen one already this year," Stamper said. "The Trenton pitcher threw fine we just couldn't hit him."
The Tigers took the early 1-0 lead in the first inning but fell behind in the third inning when the Trojans put three runs on the board.
Trenton added two more in the fifth inning. Caleb Kennedy pitched the entire game for the Tigers and only walked one batter and gave up four hits.
"We only had two hits," he said. "We struck out 10 times in the game."
Andy Overholt had a single in the game and Jerry Taylor had a double and an RBI for the locals.
A few games were cancelled due to bad weather last week. They are in the process of rescheduling the Lincoln games at the University of Michigan but nothing has been decided yet.
Belleville drops to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Mega Red. Today they host Bloomfield Hills and yesterday they played a big league game at home against Anderson.
